Avon has been certified by ISO:TS:16949:2002 for quality systems and also have been approved for IBR by Central Boiler Board in India. Avon Tube has entire manufacturing process designed to give perfection and consistency in products. The welded tubes are manufactured on the two state-of-the art Tube Mills from (MAS, Germany) using solid-state high frequency welder (Thermatool, USA) with online Eddy Current Testing.
The Cold Drawn Welded and Cold Drawn Seamless Tubes are uniquely used in various applications requiring highly precision dimensional tolerances and better inside & outside surface finish as well as mechanical properties as specified.
Boiler and Heat Exchanger tubes are produced by Cold Drawn process and cold rolled process. Cold Rolled tubes are produced by cold rolling (Pillger), a process especially suitable for high reduction and better finish in Seamless tubes.
All the drawn tubes are passed through offline Rotoprobe and encircling coil eddy current tester which can detect all flaws in tube.
After heat treatment, the hollow pipes are pre-treated in automatic continuous Surface Treatment plant to produce finished tubes. The subsequent heat treatment of Cold Rolled and Cold drawn Tubes is done with controlled inert atmosphere in Gas fired furnace. The tubes are straightened and then subjected to non-destructive testing and all kind of mechanical tests after getting technical approval; the same are marked, packed and dispatched.
